Java Developer Roles & Responsibilities
- Enhance the security stance of their offerings through seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams, encompassing offering management, development, support, and DevOps. Foster ongoing improvement initiatives to fortify their security measures collectively.
- Facilitate effective communication of requirements to development teams and offer guidance and educational support on the implementation of best practices.
- Coordinate and oversee audits, security reviews, and penetration tests for comprehensive evaluation and validation of security measures.
- Guarantee that offerings align with specified security requirements, adhere to established deliverables, and meet designated timelines.
- Conduct and assess security scans, devising solutions to address identified issues.
- Monitor and convey vulnerabilities systematically within a well-defined process.
Java Developer Required Expertise
- Accumulated five years of experience as a software developer.
- Proficient in incorporating Security & Privacy by Design principles and adhering to industry standards like OWASP.
- Experience with the following technologies:
– Container development, encompassing OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker, and Ansible
– CI/CD tooling, including Github, Jenkins, Travis, and Artifactory
– Proficiency in Python, XML, and JSON
- Effective communication and organizational aptitude. Demonstrated ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in utilizing security scan tools (dynamic, static, container, and open source) with the ability to interpret and respond effectively to the results.
Preferred Expertise
- Proficient in penetration test tools like Burp Suite or Fiddler.
- Hands-on experience with the Continuous Delivery process.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and adept at working within a Sprint-based setting.
- Programming expertise in Python, Java, and shell scripting.
- Experience with ISO 27001 Certification processes.
- Sound knowledge of the Vulnerability Response process.
- Proficiency in tools such as Mend/Whitesource, AppScan, SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, and Twistlock.
