Associate Director Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of surgical smart solutions alongside Technical Lead, Platform Lead, subject matter experts, and Scrum Master.
- Actively seek innovative solutions to technical challenges and encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop proof-of-concept solutions, architectural diagrams, and specifications in response to business requirements, ensuring alignment with technical stakeholders.
- Take ownership of implementation strategy, including co-owning deployments and maintaining code quality standards.
- Define and enforce coding quality standards, continuous integration, and automated deployment practices.
- Create technical documentation and effectively communicate component architectures and design proposals.
- Collaborate with Technical Leads, Scrum Master, and Software Engineering Design Team (SEDT) to align release roadmap with technical capabilities and identify opportunities for scalability.
- Participate in design and sprint reviews to identify and resolve technical impediments, shape product trajectory, and enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of professional experience (or equivalent combinations, e.g., high school and 13 years, associate and 9 years, M.S. and 7 years, or PhD and 5 years).
- Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, understanding, and communication.
- No travel requirements.
- 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in leadership roles managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficient in SaaS and cloud-native environments, including container and virtualization technologies like VM, Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Foundry.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS, with the ability to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions.
- Mastery of multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python), application frameworks (django, WildFly, Spring/SpringBoot), and software development methodologies.
- Capable of making architecture design decisions at team, product, and ecosystem levels.
- Familiarity with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile Development, DevOps (e.g., CI/CD processes), and Scrum.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks (AngularJS, React, etc.) and developing responsive Single Page Applications (SPAs) using web frameworks.
- Collaborative leader who thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment, respecting diverse viewpoints and prioritizing organizational goals over personal interests.
- Creative thinker willing to challenge the status quo and take calculated risks to drive performance improvements.
- Effective communicator with the ability to align leaders on complex technical decisions.
