Senior Credit Analyst Job Responsibilities
- Supporting Credit Research/Credit Desk Analyst Team: Assist in the functioning of a global credit research/credit desk analyst team.
- Conducting Fundamental Analysis: Prepare and update credit models for companies, including peer analysis, relative value analysis, and key credit quality determinants. Write credit memos/investment theses for companies under coverage.
- Preparing Presentations and Decks: Create thematic presentations and industry decks highlighting sector trends, emerging risks, or potential turnaround candidates.
- Surveillance and Monitoring: Proactively track company events such as quarterly earnings and regulatory updates. Monitor peer group activities and other industry information sources.
- Developing Sector Understanding: Quickly gain understanding of operating and financial metrics relevant to new sectors under coverage.
- Establishing Standards and Processes: Establish and maintain consistent standards and processes in credit analysis.
- Experience in Distressed Debt/Recovery Analysis: Knowledge and experience in distressed debt/recovery analysis and relative valuation of bonds are advantageous.
- Utilization of Data Sources: Utilize data sources such as Fact set and Bloomberg for analysis and research.

- Strong Quantitative Skills: The candidate must possess robust quantitative abilities to manage and analyse large volumes of data while constructing new models.
- Detail-Oriented with Financial Market Interest: They should demonstrate a meticulous attention to detail and hold a strong interest in financial markets.
- Ability to Work Under Pressure: The candidate should thrive in high-pressure environments and be adept at meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills are necessary to effectively convey complex products and deliverables to credit analysts.
- Background in Corporate Credit Analysis: Previous experience in conducting credit analysis of corporates is highly desirable.
- Multitasking and Deadline Management: They must be capable of efficiently multitasking and managing projects with stringent timelines.
