Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to align strategies, drive successful product launches, and ensure seamless execution of category plans.
- Utilize advanced sales analytics tools to derive actionable insights from sales data, enabling data-driven decision-making and refinement of strategies.
- Participate in defining the category business plan and strategies with the manager to drive growth and profitability.
- Take responsibility for product line and quota management, focusing on low complexity and low impact product ranges or customer segments.
- Conduct in-depth external market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences within the category, using insights to inform sales approaches.
- Gain understanding of product categories, business management, and sales challenges/strategies.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback and data to understand needs, pain points, and improvement areas, translating them into actionable insights for future enhancements.
- Assist in functional responsibilities such as market analysis, marketing engagement, etc.
- Communicate and cultivate relationships with individuals across various levels within the sales team.
Requirements
- Education: Possess a four-year or graduate degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Experience: Typically have 2-4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in category management, P&L management, or a related field. Alternatively, hold an advanced degree with limited or no work experience.
