Financial Analyst Responsibilities
Assist senior team members in carrying out financial planning and analysis processes, projects, and ad-hoc requests as needed by the Finance organisation. Embrace the following responsibilities:
- Support cost and project accounting, ensuring accurate expense allocation for high-quality financial reporting.
- Assist the Financial Planning team with expense research and support functions.
- Collaborate on the preparation of monthly reports and variance analysis, identifying key focus areas for management, with moderate guidance from direct manager or senior team members.
- Cultivate collaborative relationships with other teams in Business Planning to enhance overall organisational synergy.
- Contribute to the development of new reporting solutions and the identification of management focus areas.
- Implement best practices for process and reporting enhancements, striving for standardisation across business planning to optimise efficiency.
Financial Analyst Experience/Qualifications:
- Possess an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Ideally, have 1-3 years of pertinent financial experience, particularly in planning and analysis processes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in both verbal and written English communication.
- Exhibit a keen eye for detail and a focus on data quality, with the ability to effectively summarise and communicate findings or analyses.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, preferably Office 365.
- Showcase strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Possess knowledge of basic accounting concepts.

- Proficient in handling large volumes of data and utilising reporting applications and tools.
- Exhibits a keen attention to detail, consistently improving and completing recurring processes to minimise errors.

- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Applies knowledge and employs basic/intermediate problem-solving techniques to define and resolve issues.
- Develops a comprehensive understanding of financial instruments, terminology, and the associated business practices within the FP&A area.
- Can provide basic/intermediate support for business planning processes and deliverables.
