The Analyst, People Analytics will join the Global People Operations and Insights team, offering data, analytics, operational, and strategic decision support across various business units and regions at Mastercard.
Drawing on their expertise in analytics, project management, and cloud migration, this individual will facilitate data-driven decisions regarding talent within Mastercard. Analyst Roles And Responsibility
- Collaborates closely with Senior Data Analysts in the broader People Operations and Insights team to pinpoint opportunities for scalable reporting solutions and visualisations.
- Develops Tableau dashboards and reports that align with best practices for visualisation and effectively convey a narrative.
- Engages in the creation of documents and presentations to communicate innovations, ideas, or discoveries.
- Contributes to fortifying a motivated, innovative, and productive team dedicated to creating next-generation analytics for Mastercard.
- Generates and implements ideas for continual enhancement of analytics and reporting services delivery.
- Demonstrates the ability to understand the root query or challenge behind data requests, going beyond the initial task.
- Validates and upholds people’s data integrity in collaboration with Data Management and HR Systems teams.
- Assumes project management responsibilities and seeks guidance from senior members to oversee the book of work with the Technology team at Mastercard.
- Exercises exceptional judgement and discretion when handling highly sensitive people data.
- Brings expertise in cloud migration, preferably in AWS.
Analyst Skills and Qualification Required
- Demonstrated experience working with organisational and workforce data.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with peers and cross-functional teams, navigating across multiple time zones.
- Flexibility and responsiveness, adept at adapting to rapid changes in direction or business priorities.
- Openness to feedback and strong self-awareness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to work within the constraints of data governance and privacy standards.
- Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to apply data for discovering and solving business challenges and questions.
- Problem-solving mentality, resourcefulness, and creativity in identifying solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build professional relationships, influence, and negotiate.
- Proficiency in Alteryx and Tableau.
- Proficiency in data preparation/ETL.
- Knowledge of a programming language such as R or Python.
- Strong expertise in SQL, including the ability to write, execute, and optimise the performance of complex queries.
- Expertise in information delivery and familiarity with data visualisation techniques for preparing data discovery, operational, and executive dashboards.
- Experience in developing complex reporting and analytics applications.
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience working in Data modelling tools.
- Experience with optimization models is a plus.
- Experience working in Cloud Platforms.
- Experience with Big Data technologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques/machine learning algorithms and their application to real-world data
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Psychology, Management, or a related discipline
