Data Scientist Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Global Send team to design, build, and manage sophisticated reporting and data visualization tools for extensive datasets. This facilitates comprehensive analytics and reporting across products, markets, and services.
- Convert business needs into clear solution specifications and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality outcomes.
- Establish standardized processes to facilitate the development of modeling and reporting for increased efficiency and consistency.
- Proficiently leverage tools for manipulating extensive databases, extracting data insights, and delivering primary level insights, conclusions, and assessments. Present findings through Excel and PowerPoint.
- Implement quality control measures, validate data, and conduct cleansing processes for both new and existing data sources.
Data Scientist Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics; M.S./M.B.A. credentials are desirable.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a data scientist is mandatory.
- Proficient in Platforms/Environments: SQL Server, Microsoft BI Stack.
- Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a valuable asset.
- Demonstrated experience in constructing data models is a notable advantage.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Domo, and PowerBI is an additional asset.
- Proficiency in Hadoop environments, Python, R, and WPS is an advantageous addition to the skill set.
- Capable of engaging with management and internal stakeholders to gather and comprehend requirements effectively.
- Adept at collaborative teamwork, exercising sound judgment, and thriving in ambiguous situations.
- Demonstrates exceptional problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills.
