Responsibilities
- Provide business solutions on Alcon’s analytics platform with end-to-end implementation, covering data security, governance, cataloging, preparation, automated testing, and data quality metrics.
- Participate in Backlog grooming, Sprint Planning, and effort estimation processes.
- Develop data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SparkSQL.
- Automate, optimize, migrate, and improve existing solutions.
- Utilize AWS data lake and related services for end-to-end solution implementation.
- Conduct data modeling, analysis, and insights generation using various tools.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/MCA).
- Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in Big Data Hadoop or AWS data lake environments.
- 3+ years of coding experience with Spark using Python, Scala, or Java.
- Proficiency in RDBMS such as MS SQL and Postgres.
- Strong working knowledge of AWS services including Glue, EMR, S3, SNS, SQS, Athena, Redshift, Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Demonstrated experience in data modeling, analysis, and insights generation using various tools.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent collaboration skills for effective communication across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Data-savvy individual with hands-on experience in data preparation, analysis, and insights derivation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and high learning agility.
