Associate Director Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee relationships with outsourced accounting partners for high-quality and compliant financial services.
- Review and analyze financial reports from outsourced teams across six locations, addressing discrepancies and providing improvement guidance.
- Ensure outsourcing partners follow periodic financial closing processes.
- Ensure expenses are recorded in alignment with global guidance and budgets.
- Take full ownership of financial results for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial models for analyzing periodic financial results.
- Collaborate on annual budgeting and rolling forecasts with department heads.
- Ensure expenses are synchronized between budgets and actuals.
- Plan periodic cash flows to ensure business continuity.
- Develop a mechanism for staying updated with global and local compliance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies by outsourced partners.
- Implement and monitor effective internal controls for safeguarding company assets and mitigating financial risks.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and outsourced partners for operational processes.
- Collaborate with local and Global FP&A teams for accurate budgeting and analysis.
- Collaborate with the internal Financial Shared Services (IFS) team to streamline operations between IFS and outsourced partners.
Requirements
- Demonstrated senior finance expertise, showcasing financial leadership and collaboration in complex stakeholder environments.
- Proven track record in overseeing outsourced accounting functions.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, adept at simplifying intricate financial concepts into actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering effective collaboration across various departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or relevant professional certification such as CA or CMA preferred.
- Experience in managing outsourced accounting specifically for China/ASEAN locations is advantageous.
