Data Scientist Roles and Responsibility
Join a rapidly expanding team where you’ll apply data science methods and analytics to real-world business challenges spanning diverse industries. Work closely with clients across various BCG regions and sectors, addressing critical topics such as climate change. Your role involves designing, building, and deploying innovative solutions.
Take on additional responsibilities, including contributing to thought leadership in scientific communities, writing papers, and leading conferences on behalf of BCG X. They are looking for intellectually curious individuals who thrive as proactive builders, possess creativity, and excel in communication.
Seeking dedicated individuals with a passion for data science, statistics, and operations research to redefine organisations as AI-led innovators. Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:
- Thrives in client-facing roles and aspires to lead teams
- Excels in simplifying complex results or processes through clear visualisations
- Effectively communicates intricate data science concepts in an understandable manner
- Enjoys building and is adept at using modern development tools for collaborative coding (bonus if experienced in software development or DevOps)
- Demonstrates extensive experience applying advanced analytics to business scenarios with a track record of synthesising complex data
- Possesses a profound understanding of contemporary machine learning techniques and their mathematical foundations, translating them into actionable business insights for clients
- Exhibits robust project management skills
Data Scientist REQUIREMENTS:
Currently enrolled in a university master’s or PhD degree program in Computer Research Science, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or related field

The first-year base compensation for this role is:
Data Scientist I: $110,000 USD
Data Scientist II: $145,000 USD
Data Scientist III: $160,000 USD
Senior Data Scientist: $190,000 USD
