Software QA Engineer Responsibilities
- Actively engage in projects and collaborate with fellow engineers to develop their next-generation Wi-Fi products.
- Design and deliver innovative software and features for Wi-Fi Access Points.
- Engage in daily tasks, including coding to build software, modifying existing software to address errors, adapt it to new hardware, enhance performance, or upgrade interfaces.
- Work closely with test and validation engineers to assist in system testing and integration.
Required Skills
- 1-2 years of employed experience, coupled with a BS/MS degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in C/C++/Python programming languages, with strong analytical and logical problem-solving abilities.
- Hands-on experience with TCP/IP network layer protocols.
- Desirable familiarity with wireless technologies, particularly 802.11 and Wi-Fi.
- Experience in packet forwarding and data path is advantageous.
- Good comprehension of Linux and network resource management.
- Ability to multitask effectively in dynamic environments.
- Excellent social and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate with customers to comprehend intricate networking infrastructure requirements and devise tailored solutions.
- Strong team-building capabilities.
- Knowledge or hands-on experience with management stack, gained through internships or apprenticeships in wireless controller or cloud-based management solutions.
- Openness to continuous learning and dedication to self-improvement.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and teamwork, capable of taking technical ownership of significant software components.
