Content Editor Responsibilities

• Collaborating with technical and business teams, as well as engaging with Public Relations and Legal departments, to establish and articulate company policies concerning customer-related matters.
• Crafting and sustaining Amazon Help pages designed to empower customers in finding answers to their inquiries about our services, fostering self-sufficiency and seamless navigation.
• Developing and managing intelligent English content within Content Management tools, utilising DITA attributes to ensure scalability and streamlined localization processes for enhanced efficiency.
• Utilise computer-assisted tools to efficiently outsource content for translation, streamlining the localization process and ensuring effective communication across diverse languages.
• Addressing time-sensitive requests and championing optimal content solutions, demonstrating adept prioritisation skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines effectively.
• Apply web analytics and employ SEO best practices to enhance the discoverability of content across website help pages, optimising the user experience and driving improved visibility.
• Employ a comprehensive approach involving data analysis, user research, benchmarking, and content audits to inform strategic content decisions and lead the orchestration of content development initiatives.
• Spearheading continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing content accessibility, usability, completeness, and branding to elevate overall user experience and meet evolving standards.
• Developing strategic content and crafting compelling narratives for intricate projects that significantly influence and enhance the overall customer experience.
• Effective management of key stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and collaboration for successful project outcomes.

Basic Qualification

• 3-5 years of experience in editing, technical writing, or content development.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in DITA and CMS.
• XML content experience; familiar with authoring tools.
• Experience with translation processes and tools.
• Translation processes and tools experience.
• Comfortable in Agile/sprint environments.
• Content project management experience including cross-team coordination.
• Independently led complex, large-scale projects.
• Multimedia development and editing experience.
• Collaboration with design, UX, and product teams. 
• Detail-oriented, problem-solving, and execution-driven mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Content Strategy, or related field.
• MS Excel proficiency.

• Desired background in taxonomy.
• Proficiency in reading/writing any of the 6 Indian languages (Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, and Marathi) is a strong advantage.
