Cyber Security Analyst Job Role
1. Prioritise customer-centric cybersecurity measures for enhanced protection.
2. Monitor and secure log sources and access points to mitigate potential risks.
3. Develop disaster recovery plans to address potential security breaches and ensure business resilience.
4. Proactively monitor and identify attacks, intrusions, and any unauthorised or illegal activities.
5. Conduct in-depth log reviews and forensic analysis to identify and address unauthorised access.
6. Perform security assessments, risk analysis, and root cause analysis for effective incident response.
7. Manage incidents escalated by the L1 team in 24×7 rotational shifts.
8. Utilise advanced analytics tools to identify emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities.
9. Execute tactical security operations tasks and analyse attacks to formulate remedial action plans.
10. Collaborate with stakeholders, providing audit assistance and recommendations on cybersecurity matters.
11. Maintain an information security risk register and support internal and external audits related to information security.
12. Contribute to creating, maintaining, and delivering cybersecurity awareness training for colleagues.
13. Offer advice and guidance to employees on issues such as spam and unwanted or malicious emails.
Cyber Security Analyst Job Required Skills
1. Expertise in Leveraging Technology:
- Possess advanced knowledge of current and emerging technologies, including automation, tools, and systems.
- Demonstrates the ability to apply technology to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness within the function or client organisation.
2. Process Excellence:
- Exhibits a high level of proficiency in adhering to standards and norms, ensuring consistent results.
- Capable of providing effective control measures and minimising risks through rigorous adherence to established processes.
3. Masterful in Functional/Technical Competence:
- Holds an advanced level of knowledge in Network Security devices, firewalls, endpoints, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), application security, IPS/IDS (Intrusion Prevention System/Intrusion Detection System).
- Demonstrates mastery in Vulnerability Assessment (VA) and Penetration Testing (PT) skills, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity practices.
