Risk Advisory Analyst Responsibilities
- Conduct audits of client’s semi-annual and annual valuation systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards, promoting transparency and integrity in financial reporting.
- Aid in the calculation of model reserves, risk margins, and embedded values for diverse life insurance products, facilitating informed decision-making and risk management strategies.
- Support clients in migrating models from legacy actuarial software platforms like MGALFA to modern systems such as GGY AXIS, ensuring seamless transitions and operational efficiency improvements.
- Perform comprehensive model testing and validation procedures to verify the reliability and accuracy of actuarial models, enhancing confidence in financial projections and risk assessments.
- Offer transaction and due diligence support to clients, including independent validation of Embedded Value calculations, mitigating risks and providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
- Assist clients in undertaking actuarial system transformations, leveraging expertise to streamline processes, enhance data analytics capabilities, and optimize operational performance for sustained growth and competitiveness.
Risk Advisory Analyst Requirements
- Educational Background: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a solid foundation in mathematics or statistics, providing a strong analytical framework for actuarial work.
- Professional Qualifications: Certified member of either the Institute of Actuaries (UK) and/or the Institute of Actuaries of India, having passed a minimum of four actuarial exams, including CT5.
- Prior Experience: Possess 2-4 years of practical experience in life actuarial roles, demonstrating proficiency in various aspects such as reporting, reserving, embedded value analysis, business planning, and pricing methodologies.
- Familiarity with IFRS 17: Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) 17 is advantageous, showcasing awareness of evolving regulatory requirements in the insurance industry.
- Knowledge of Stochastic Modeling: Proficiency in stochastic modeling techniques is desirable, enabling the assessment of risk and uncertainty in actuarial calculations and projections.
- Experience with Proxy Modeling: Familiarity with proxy modeling enhances the ability to develop alternative models for complex actuarial analyses, providing additional insights and validation approaches.
