SCM Specialist Responsibilities
- Material Forecasting and Negotiation Support
- Forecast material requirements for the financial year.
- Provide inputs for annual negotiation with suppliers.
- Supplier Coordination and Purchase Order Management
- Communicate material forecasts to domestic and international suppliers.
- Generate purchase orders based on demand for various business lines.
- Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with freight forwarders (AIR and SEA) for smooth customs clearance.
- Collaborate with ECC colleagues to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Timely Sourcing and Inventory Management
- Source direct and indirect materials in a timely manner.
- Project raw material inventory on a monthly basis.
- Maintain inventory levels according to defined stock levels.
- Compliance and Process Adherence
- Ensure compliance with internal and external statutory and regulatory processes.
- Monitor physical inventory count cycles as per guidelines.
- Material Returns and Warehousing
- Track NCC materials to be returned to suppliers and sourced back.
- Implement warehousing concepts to enhance Supply Chain Management value.
- Performance Measurement and Digitization
- Contribute to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and productivity measures.
- Approve transportation invoices as per frame agreements.
- Maintain SAP MRP details.
- Drive digitization methods and create value streams.
- Project Coordination and Supplier Evaluation
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines.
- Evaluate supplier performance on a monthly and annual basis.
Requirements
- Effective communication and analytical skills.
- Sound knowledge of Supply Chain Management, including Material and Inventory management, and Freight Forwarding processes.
- Mandatory SAP Knowledge.
- Familiarity with Tax, Statutory, and Regulatory requirements.
- Mandatory Excel proficiency.
- Preferred knowledge of Container Handling processes.
- Understanding of Customs-related processes.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in Supply Chain with engagement with international suppliers.
- Successful track record of digitalization, such as Forecasting and Supplier interfaces.
