Test Engineer Responsibility
- Create detailed test plans, specifying test objectives, resources, schedules, and entry/exit criteria.
- Define test scenarios and cases based on identified requirements.
- Utilise VB macros and GUI automation to automate repetitive testing tasks.
- Schedule automated tests for efficiency and reliability.
- Work closely with development teams to identify and capture test requirements.
- Implement Wipro’s model-based testing methodology for streamlined test generation.
- Conduct thorough peer reviews of test cases to ensure high quality and minimise rework.
- Set clear testing scope and criteria, involving users in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) as needed.
- Report and escalate identified defects with precision and clarity.
- Design and deliver timely test status dashboards to stakeholders, providing a clear overview of testing progress.
- Provide valuable usability and serviceability feedback, tracing impact on quality risks.
- Maintain excellent communication with customers regarding reports, tracking, and interactions.
- Deliver reports, updates, and dashboards accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate time-tracking records and respond promptly to customer requests.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders for seamless coordination.
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering.
- Strong understanding of test requirements and proficient in manual and automation testing, including Wipro’s model-based testing.
- Knowledge of testing and automation tools, with customization skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective team interaction.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Efficient time management and prioritisation skills.
- Customer-centric approach with attention to detail.
